Re: *CANDIDS*
Not so much in that heavier facial shot of Johnny Weissmuller (and isn't it amazing how in the Hollywood of yesteryear MGM didn't insist on changing or at least somehow shortening his surname?) but I can see a strong resemblance there with Paul Muni.

I always thought of Tony Curtis as being pretty, but he does not look very pretty in that picture.

True, but on his worst day he was still prettier than Jack Lemmon!Fossy wrote:I always thought of Tony Curtis as being pretty, but he does not look very pretty in that picture.

ROSALIND RUSSELL (1907 - 1976)
She refused to be placed in the Best Supporting Actress category when Columbia Pictures wanted to promote her for an Academy Award nomination for her role in "Picnic" (1955). Many felt she would have won had she cooperated.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Thanks Joe for the great pic of the Dead End Kids. Enjoyed them in their early films but they became a little harder to take once they transmuted into The Bowery Boys.
Sad that some of them led pretty tragic lives. I reckon Bernard Punsly probably ended up the most personally and professionally fulfilled of the group, eschewing show business for a successful medical career.
Nice shot of Miss Davis, too. She had a gorgeous smile. RIP sweet lady.
