I revisited yet anothe early talkie featuring Bob Montgomery: "The Sins of the Children" (1930), a MGM feature directed by Sam Wood in which Louis Mann portrays a German immigrant and devoted father of five. Clara Blandick plays his wife and Leila Hyams, Francis X. Bushman Jr. and Elliott Nugent, portray some of their grown-up kids. Nugent does a fine job as the naïve son. Bob plays a cad who's involved with Hyams. An interesting, rather creaky early talking picture. The Roan Group DVD extras are somewhat amateurish.
