I read that book thanks to this message board.
Donahue was a talented guy, I watched his show all the time. It was often insightful hearing every day people’s thoughts about current events & people.
It really frosted me when Sally Jesse Raphael & Jerry Springer took off with their cheesy explotative daytime shows.

I LOVE that book! A good book to read for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! (That dinner scene! The Christmas tree!) I've no doubt all of it is true, too!

The great film, theater, and television actor James Earl Jones has left us. Although the Variety headline mentions his role as the voice of Darth Vader, he should be remembered for an incredibly diverse and brilliant career in classical and contemporary work.

I just saw the news. He was an excellent actor, with one of the best voices in the industry.

And unless I'm very much mistaken, he was the last surviving cast member of Dr. Strangelove, or How I learned to stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

According to the imdb, Frank Berry who was great as Dietrich is still with us.
