Mulholland Drive (2001)

I usually do not buy such recent movies, but I bought this one to add to my Ann Miller collection. Perhaps It would have been better to remember her as young and beautiful, but let`s face it we all age and Ann aged well.

Some of the “blurb” surrounding this movie said.

“Hypnotic”, “It`s beautiful, twisting…dangerous and addictive”, A Maniacal Thrill”, “One Of The Year`s Best”, “It gets inside your head and stays there”.

Well, It did not get inside my head, it went over the top of it.

I am not sure whether Ann Miller was the manager of a unit block or the madam of a lesbian knock shop. Naomi Watts and Laura Elena Harring had a couple of sessions , and one scene involved Naomi playing with herself. There did not seem to be a story, the show seemed so disjointed to me.

As there were so many nominations and awards associated with this show I suppose I must watch it again. Perhaps it may be better second time around.
