RIPPER STREET

Post by mrsl »

.
If you're a fan of the macabre, you might want to tune in on Ripper Street on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. I believe the name is from the idea of the street where Jack the Ripper did most of his damage. I guess you could call this a kind of 19th century Law and Order: SVU. I've only seen a couple of episodes but it, as many English dramas, is a well done offering, both in writing, directing and acting. If you're lucky enough to be busy on Saturday nights, set your DVR or VCR to check out this exceptional detective drama.

Hi Anne:

(Talk about late...) I found this on Netflix and really like it. I think the setting in time and at the dawn of forensics make this a most interesting show. I like the lead actors and the relationships. Matthew MacFayden is very good and I think the stories are very interesting. It can be a little much if one is sensitive but it is helps not to sanitize things which makes it part of its make up.

Good series.
