The movie is ELMER GANTRY.
The evangelist (Sister Sharon Falconer) is played by Jean Simmons, one of my favorites.
She is so beautiful in this role especially in the scene where she sees the incriminating photos of Elmer Gantry and Lulu Bains.
I re-watched that movie recently. I find I get more from it every time I watch.
It's a movie that I did not expect to like so I avoided it for a long time.
