Two very similiar WW2 films dealing with US Airmen flying missions from basis in Britian to their targets in Germany.
Gable,Pidgeon,Hodiak, Van Johnson,Bickford, and Edward Arnold are just some of the stars of Command Decision directed by Sam Wood, who was politicall very rightring and not IMHO the best choice.
High stars Peck,Merrill, Jagger, and Hugh Marloe among other and was directed by Henry King, both films are 1949 releases.Which is your favorite ? I take Command Decision
Command Decision vs 12 O' Cloch High
I go with 12 O'Clock High for the emotional side of the entire cast. Although they are all strong soldiers, they are also men with human emotions, which they occasionally allow to come through. In Decision, emotion is frowned on and never having been in anywhere near that kind of situation (thank Heaven), I'm not sure what would be the proper way to react, but I feel as a person you must consider what your own emotional welfare will be after the deed is done.
