A Note About Another Change Among Our Moderators

Postby moira finnie » September 23rd, 2007, 7:18 pm

Hi All:
Kyle in Hollywood, one of our Charter Members and one of our West Coast Moderators, has asked that he be relieved from his duties as Moderator. Though he will always be welcome as a valued member of our site, Kyle has found that many of his outside responsibilities have kept him from participating as fully as he might wish in our discussions. With the felicitous addition of Chris (Movieman1957) to our staff, Kyle hoped that this might be an advantageous moment to choose to step back from this post as moderator.

I hope that you'll join me in thanking Kyle, hoping for only the best for him in the future, and asking him to never be a stranger at our door.
Be well & be confident that your presence is always welcome, Kyle.
Sincerely,
Moira

Thanks for all of your hard work, Kyle!

Kyle, thanks for helping get the site off the ground. And thanks for being such a great member, both here and at TCM City.

Sniff, Sniff,

Kyle,

Hope your life gets less hectic. Please don't be a stranger around these parts. Would hate to have send BenW and a posse out to rustle you up!

I'm going to miss our Hollywood Hunk. I wondered why you hadn't been posting as much lately.

Take care, and don't forget us.

Kyle, please see the thread welcoming Chris as a new Mod, where I've aptly bid you adieu.
I guess I'm just too cheesey-cheap a Yankee to post it twice.
Gonna miss ya, stay in touch!

P.S.: Given the current staffing change thing, I guess I should fess up: that was me with the krazy-glue stunt with your coffee cup . . I'm really sorry, but see, I was all wound-up from having just seen The Archers' "A Canterbury Tale", and well . .
Sorry.

My abandonment issues are rising! Kyle, though your role here is redefined, I hope you'll still appear here often. Your written voice is rich, your style is articulate, your knowledge is impressive, your wit is sharp. Don't go too far. In the meantime, I'll be laying in the corner in a fetal position...

Whoa, kiddos!

Tell that De Wilde kid to quit hollering Kyle's name over and over out in the backyard, will ya? The beloved Kylemeister is with us still, like all good SSO members and archetypal cultural figures.

Don't hang the crepe and cover the mirrors in the house just yet! Kyle just had to cease being a Moderator. He's still a Member in excellent standing. Believe me, Kyle is among us, aware of what we're doing and will post when he can!!

Feel better now, I hope?

Far be it from me to stand in the way of a good party. If you all want to be Dana Andrews, I will certainly do my best Gene Tierney and stay away for a while longer while you hit the liquor cabinet. (Did you get a nice black wreath for the door? I never quite understood that gesture and only ever saw it in the movies.)

But I am concerned with a certain Rubini who seems to be "regressing" to a happier time in the corner. I should have known that this would be a shock coming so soon after Pavarotti and Sills. It's OK Moraldo. I am not pulling an Aida.

To everyone who has wished me well, thank you. And know that I am well and plan on being no stranger - at least, no stranger than I have ever been. I am looking forward to checking in when Scott Eyman is around next month just in case Miss Goddess doesn't ask all the questions that I, too, have about Lubitsch.

I'll be seeing you all again and am looking forward to it when it happens.

Kyle
