Coming on Nov. 8th, film historian JB Kaufman

Post by Lzcutter »

I am thrilled to announce that film historian (and my good friend), JB Kaufman will be joining us at the Oasis beginning Monday, Nov. 8th for four days.

Here's a short bio about him:
J.B. Kaufman is a writer and film historian on the staff of the Walt Disney Family Foundation, and has published extensively on topics including Disney animation and American silent film. He is author of South of the Border with Disney and co-author, with Russell Merritt, of Walt in Wonderland: The Silent Films of Walt Disney and Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies: A Companion to the Classic Cartoon Series.

He has also contributed to the Griffith Project and other series at Le Giornate del Cinema Muto in Pordenone, Italy.

So, I hope you will start thinking of questions to ask him!

Thanks Lynn for arranging it, we are so lucky here at the Oasis.

Another coup for the SSO, thanks to you, Lynn. It will be a pleasure to "meet" JB Kaufman. I'm very curious about the history of Disney's impact on American entertainment and film history. Thanks so much for arranging this event, Lynn.

How fabulous! JB Kaufman is one of the nicest people on the planet. He's also a terrific writer and his South of the Border book is a must read!
