For those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area (and those we can seduce to come visit), I just received word that the folks who bring us the annual SF Silent Film Festival is also giving us a Valentine this year: On February 14, they'll be showing Buster Keaton's Our Hospitality, Russia's A Kiss from Mary Pickford, Murnau's masterpiece Sunrise and the scary Cat and the Canary on the big screen at the Castro Theatre. Great way to spend the day!
If I could see Sunrise on a big screen......heaven here on earth! Please go for me, Jack, and watch 2 times...once for you, once for me....sigh.....
