Pert Kelton: A Pre-Code "lady who knows what time it is

Wow! Thank you for bringing the pert Miss Kelton to our attention. I began reading what I thought was a biography of a now-obscure silent film actress whom I've never seen. Then to be blindsided with The Music Man connection ("Oh I know her!"), and suddenly all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

I'd mentioned a similar experience in the Lil' Bitty Tear Let Me Down... thread over in The People in Film Forum, when I discovered that the older actress in Disney's Summer Magic was actually the same person as the sassy young actress from 42nd Street -- Una Merkel!

It's fascinating to discover these "separate lives" within the context of one actor. Thanks![/i]
