The Stars Are Singing (1953)
Fifteen Year old Katri (Anna Maria Alberghetti) is imprisoned as a stowaway on a Polish ship. When the ship reaches New York she escapes and swims ashore. The rest of the film is a hilarious pursuit by police, Customs, and the FBI who are trying to arrest her as an illegal immigrant. She is aided by friends including Terry (Rosemary Clooney) and Poppa Poldi (Lauritz Melchior). This movie is a real songfest which includes.
