They are region 1 DVDs I couldn't rent them in this country. I found someone who had them and borrowed them. They're worth renewing your Netflix account for or the purchase price. They're the kind of films that just draw you into another world and make you feel that you know the characters. The acting is absolutely first class too. I'd heard about this actor called Raimu, he's just marvellous as Cesar. I'm fact all the cast are brilliant
