Sugar can NOT have a scooter. She'll never stay home if she gets one.

I bet cats don't make babies laugh like this:

I was playing with a stuffed bunny, making it hop up and down for Sugar. She rolled her eyes and said, "Dude! You think I don't know a toy from the real thing? Real rabbits aren't pink!"

Sugar doesn't like MAD MEN? I was watching it on video last night. My dog started snoring! Jeez! We can't watch LASSIE all the time!

That's a beautiful way to pay tribute, Teresa. No doubt, Mr. Garner would have liked this.

ME: You're a good dog, Sugar! I love you so much. You're such a sweet, precious little angel!
SUGAR: OK. What's for supper?

Not into the dialogue!

Waaaay to go Sugar. Cut to the chase. "Talk...talk...talk. When do we eat?"

You see who’s in the driver’s seat, right? ( ;-) )

Who knew Sugar liked DARK PASSAGE? We watched it last night. She sat straight up on the couch, looking directly at the TV! I'm going to have to add this to her list of favorites. Somewhere between COOLHAND LUKE and THE MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES!

As for myself, I can't help but enjoy this somewhat cheezy, implausible little thriller. It plays like a 1950s comic book, or a B-feature that just happens to have a big name cast. When my brother and I watched it as children, we were enthralled by the subjective approach to the story. You see everything from Vincent Parry's viewpoint, but you don't see Vincent Parry! At least, not until he gets his new face. It's a cute, if not terribly sophisticated technique. One I find enormously entertaining to this day.

Much of the filmmaking admired on this message board is not high-tech and grand. It's small and subtle; lacking in expansive production. It's DETOUR, Val Lewton, 12 men confined to a jury room. Less is more. DARK PASSAGE is not one of the great crime dramas. But it's more fun than a barrel of...great crime dramas!

My little dog has good taste!

Sugar has good taste!

Lily doesn't watch much TV, but she WAS upset on Lee Tracy day... something about Tracy's voice made her bark every time he said something. :D

Loved "Dark Passage" without equivocation. Agnes Moorhead makes the movie for me. And you can't beat Bogie and Bacall's chemistry.

Some movie moguls might just agree with Lily.
