Have you ever searched this site for something you absolutely know you commented on?

And in the course of doing that, read things you wrote years ago?

And, then, your reaction is:

1. Golly, that sounds reasonably intelligent.

2. Golly, I wrote that? I'm so so beyond that now.

3. Golly, I saw that movie?

(Hint: No. 3 is the really scary one. Not that it happened to me. Oh, no. But it could happen...and I would be scared...if it happened to me.)

Yes, yes and yes. I'm very scared too, I read reviews of movies and think have I watched that and having no idea. I just thought it was me.

I remember all the movies I saw years and years ago. A little hazy on last week! Often on this board, titles are mentioned. I think, Have I seen that?

I had something like this happen just last week. I was excitedly waiting to see In Our Time, and then when it came on, I realized I'd already seen it. I knew who was in it, what it was about, read the description, but still never realized I'd seen it before.

Let's just pretend that this problem is due to the vast number of movies we watch at this site, and not something to do with old age or brain cell loss.

I think I'd rather it be that way then to know I had seen a film and then not remember anything about it. Case in point "Along The Great Divide." I watched it Friday and I know I saw it a long time ago but remembered absolutely nothing about it.

Maybe I can find peace in that I'm starting over.

ah, Chris, you have a great outlook! I am getting old enough now, that I can hide my own Easter Eggs! Each day is a brand new world, and old friends are new friends again.....

Masha ... what you written here ... I can relate to this and with good riddance ... this portion of your post made me laugh and at the same time reflect of how busy we are. I just love this post ... thanks for sharing it and giving us something to chew on. Thanks for sharing it.

With us being down for two weeks I've hardly watched a movie. Nobody to share it with. That may all change now. "The Big Combo" is sitting on the piano.
