WOW my very dear and cherished friends at SSO, thank you very much for your wonderful and warm greetings. You made my day! I've had a wonderful day full of love, friendship and caring.
Thank you very much Moira for that wonderful picture...and you know what? I have a similar photo in which I -a small kid who learnt how to read when I was three years old- am reading to a group of fellow kids!! And yes Nancy, you are that girl of course!
And dear Christy that Fontaine salute is impressively creative. Thanks a million.

I got some interesting cinema-related gifts: A Noir on DVD (Raw Deal), a TCM Crossword Puzzles collection of Now Playing Guide, A book on movies in Spanish, A book on Cinema Villains, a Book on American Comedians, a Book on Marilyn Monroe, Vanity Fair and Play Girl on DVD (Pre Codes), To Catch a Thief on Blu Ray and BBC's The Aristocrats on DVD!!! My wife bought a wonderful Bitter Chocolate-Truffle Cake!!

FOSSY"s Birthday is Saturday August 11th. Born in 1935 I think he barely qualifies for a pre-code wish. Doug (Fossy) lives in Australia and is a very big fan of Silver Screen Oasis. Doug has been laying low from posting lately because of eye problems but after one operation we hope he is on the mend. he hope to have the other eye done soon so he can be back at full strength. Good luck Fossy and Happy Birthday to you.
