I've been listening to Little Me, which I think is my favorite among Cy Coleman's scores. It was his second Broadway show, after Wildcat, which was a vehicle for Lucille Ball. Carolyn Leigh was the lyricist on both shows.
Little Me, with book by Neil Simon, based on a novel by Patrick Dennis, was a vehicle for Sid Caesar, who played six roles. I saw a revival in 1982, when multiple roles were divided between James Coco and Victor Garber. For the 1998 revival, Martin Short played eight roles.
The two best-known songs from Little Me are probably "I've Got Your Number" and "Real Live Girl." I like all the songs, including this one, sung by Sid Caesar as the prince of a mythical country who thinks he's dying:
