I see what you mean in your comparisons, especially Re. Gable and Craig. In fact, I seem to recall that Craig was meant as a momentary replacement for Gable while he was away fighting in WWII.

You know what Fernando...I have a recollection of that too. ( Craig being a replacement for Gable. ) Didn't quite work...but I always have a soft spot for James Craig. I've always liked his voice.
