Heard this artist on the college radio station in the car this morning and found myself completely choked up at her rendition of the Joni Mitchell standard. Drove down the road crying. :D The emotion is all there. Maturity. Wonderful voice. Sounds so strong, womanly, older. I was quite surprised to come home and find she's quite a young, beautiful woman.

A giant on bass and one of the jazz artists that brought me to
Free Jazz, CHARLIE HADEN, has died at 76. From playing as a
child in his parents' Country 'n' Western band, to Ornette Coleman,
to his Liberation Music Orchestra, he and his music will be missed.

Haden's solo around 4".

The last of the original members of The Ramones has died. TOMMY RAMONE,
nee Erdelyi Tamas, played guitar in an earlier band with Johnny Ramone, nee
John Cummings, but switched to drums with The Ramones when they
couldn't find a drummer. He was on the band's first three albums, but
continued to be involved with the group in various capacities.
