I have never seen Marylin Monroe or Montgomery Clift on the big screen.
I wish they would screen BUS STOP.

A PLACE IN THE SUN is scheduled for July.
It's strange they haven't filled out the calendar for the rest of summer after June. They are doing a Godzilla marathon, plus will show Stop Making Sense, Mommie Dearest, The Birdcage and a few Christopher Guest films.

If you're looking for food recommendations and like Thai food check out Green Leaf Thai cuisine. It's very good. My family has been going there for over 40 years. We make trips out from the suburbs for birthdays and such.

Gene Siskel Film Center is doing a Sidney Lumet retrospective starting June 1st and also a Studio Ghibli week. Here's the calendar.

Grandma will be 80 next month.

The Music Box Theater is lovely. I am excited for the Liz & Monty series they are running. I am going to be busy this summer, but hopefully I can attend a few screenings.

Yes, except for the winters, Chicago is the best city in the US (in my opinion).

Having lived there ten years I am inclined to agree! Friendlier and less expensive than my old New Yawk City hometown, although I must admit I also yearn for Da Bronx in those early 1960's, pre-Beatle days....

A Music Box Godzilla marathon? I'd fly into The Windy City just for that!

Of course, MOMMIE DEAREST ("Don't f*ck with me, fellas! This isn't my first rodeo!") and THE BIRDCAGE ("Fosse! Fosse! Fosse!") aren't exactly chopped liver...

On our last trip to New York City (2 years ago), the sweetie and I decided beforehand that we wanted to visit every borough. We went to City Island in the Bronx and another neighborhood in the Bronx (I'm blanking on the name).
That was the most enjoyable vacation we have ever had.

Our 10-year anniversary is coming up and we are going to New York City again in October. This will be our third trip there together.
We actually found the people in New York City to be quite friendly in a very genuine way.

Wonderful to hear, Holden, thank you.

Congrats in advance for your tenth anniversary. NYC is especially beautiful in October. I know you'll have another lovely experience.

I'd love to see THE BIRDCAGE on the "big screen."

Gene Hackman in drag makes me think of Bea Arthur.

Maybe it's the cotton candy hair, but Gene is better looking.
