Re: *CANDIDS*
Hi,
Happy Birthday to Edward G. Robinson, a truly great star and actor - one of the few to be both........
I cannot believe that he never was nominated for an Oscar, let alone won one.
He should have been nominated for "Double Indemnity" at least, and surely for others too.
And, he virtually steals "The Ten Commandments" from Moses....
Also, if one were to combine the art collections of EG and Vincent Price, it could be an important art museum of the world!!
Cheers Edward....

Re: *CANDIDS*
Wasn't it Eve Arnold who took a series of pictures of stars jumping? Was this picture part of the series?

Gee, maybe this was something that Eve did, though I never heard of it before. The only photographer I think did a series of such images using celebrities of every stripe was Philippe Halsman, many of whose images were first published in Life Magazine. You can see lots of these photos here.charliechaplinfan wrote:Wasn't it Eve Arden who took a series of pictures of stars jumping? Was this picture part of the series?
Re: *CANDIDS*
Let us not forget Sally Fraser, whose birthday is today. 80 years young. One of those little known actors.
