Happy 100th Gene, you'll always be a favourite. Thank you for so many iconic and uplifting movie moments.

LOVE Brian Keith and it depresses me that he ended his life on June 24 - my birthday.

That is sad, Stone. I also admired the actor.

Brilliant still of James Cagney and Edward Woods in "Public Enemy"
Woods was originally cast as the lead in "Public Enemy" (1931), with James Cagney playing the second lead, but after viewing dailies, director William A. Wellman had the actors switch roles, and Cagney became a star.

Heck Joe, where do you dig up these images? Every time I think I seen 'em all, you pop up a treasure. Great "Public Enemy" photo. Love the expression on both their faces. Cagney looks smugly pleased at snatching the leading role of Tom Powers away from his co-player. Eddie Woods looks as if he'd like to give it to Jimmy right in the back.

I love Brian Keith, too. It tickled me that he would say something so funny to amuse John Huston!
