Would there possibly be anyway for someone to record Moira's intro and post it on Youtube? I don't have TCM any more :( and I know some others here don't have it either. Thanks in advance!

This is downright criminal!! Just noticed that Moira`s pick this evening does not play in Canada. Instead we get THE CROSS OF LORRAINE. I mean, great flick, but now I must substitute Peter Lorre for Jean Gabin -- and, worse, no Ms. Finnie.

Not fair, I tells ya . . .

I'd have to record it on VHS, Wendy. Let me know. No need for a trade. My pleasure.

That's OK. Don't worry about it. It's got to be on TCM here in the States soon.

Hey, let me know about that Cross of Lorraine print, will ya, Stone? I have it on a DVD-r that is pretty beat up, so maybe you are getting the print they recently made the MOD from at the Warner Archive. It's a GREAT Movie with a fantastic cast. I adore Gene Kelly in this one...but then, it's Gene.

Will do, Moira. But dang, I'm sure gonna miss seeing you. Don't know why Canada skipped your segment when all the other Morlock choices are going to be featured.

Stone,

Usually what this means is that some other company in Canada has the rights to broadcast Moira's choice of film (which means the broadcast rights weren't available to TCM). :(

Yeah, I've discovered that. Took forever for our Canadian TCM to show A FACE IN THE CROWD. Everytime it was listed in the U.S. guide, we got something like THE INCREDIBLE MR. LIMPET.

Can't complain too much, though. Prior to our cable station allowing us TCM our classic movie offerings were pretty anemic.

Thanks, Stone. I'm going to see what TCM says about sharing the video of all the programmers online. I think that there are more people who don't have TCM and miss it dearly when other stuff gets substituted. All in all, I don't mind being bumped off Canadian TCM for Cross of Lorraine, but if it was for The Incredible Mr. Limpet I would be steamed! ha! And would Jean Gabin understand...I don't think so....
