PT, thanks for those wonderful photos! You and Joe are amazing! I have just been revisiting several of Greer Garson's films because they are featured presentations on TCM ON DEMAND and Garson's Star of the Month features. The portrait is so lovely!

Jane Withers, their young "handler," Anne Jeffreys, and the late Ann Rutherford.

As for Jane Withers, I met her at the TCMFF 2011 at the Vanity Fair party. She was so much fun, and I actually sat and visited with her for quite a bit. We discussed our rings, she told me about her children and grandchildren, and was lively, energetic, and funny. One of her chunky diamond rings held a stone for every one of her children and grandchildren, so I think she is loved and well-looked after.

This year she is a guest and is discussing Giant after its screening at TCMFF 2013.

It's almost as if you could reach out and brush the coarse stubble on his face. There's not a trace of a studio-created god in that picture. He's a living man.

Carrie, I decided not to use the usual Howard Keel toothy smile and instead opted for the man, he actually was. I'm glad that you picked up on that.
