Really love the "Happy Birthday" series. Still famous or nearly forgotten, these people deserve a reminder, however brief, of their existence because of the joy (and/or escape) they brought to our lives.

You always make me marvel at the photos you reveal and the memory triggers you bring about!!
Never knew Shirley had any brothers. Obviously, in spite of the circumstances, efforts were made to be sure she had a "normal" upbringing. And they paid off. There are so many stories of child actors who came to an unfortunate end (I guess Bobby Driscoll is the saddest), Shirley was the shining exception. No wonder we all still love her so!
