I've often visited the board and wanted to answer a post, only to goof somewhere in the registration process and give up after a couple of tries. I'm afraid the fault lies with me ... I do wish that I had grown up as part of the computer generation!
But, hey, the fact that I'm a tad older means that I had the opportunity to meet some of our favorite actors and actresses of old when I was an entertainment editor at UPI Audio. I went on to work for Wall Street Journal Radio, but I always kept up on my favorite films and filmmakers. These days I'm very lucky to be doing something I really love ... writing books on vintage films.
TCM has been an absolute gift to people like us. I remember when I first got cable and my tiny cable system wasn't carrying it. I wrote letters every week! Now, of course, almost everybody has it, and not only can we enjoy those great old films, but we can discuss them on sites like this. I'm so glad to finally be on board!

Hi Brian, welcome to the group.
I''ve only been here for a month, but I already feel like one of the family. They're that giving!
I, too, had trouble registering. Fortunately, Moira was watching and knew what I did wrong. These are the best moderators on any website anywhere!
Bet you have some wonderful stories to tell, and looking forward to reading them.
