You know, Ken, since you or someone else mentioned her being very good, I have watched her in this film a couple of times.

You are right, she is very, very good. She takes a thankless role and turns in a modest, self-effacing, and lovely performance. She obviously has smarts, and a sense of humor, but the overriding impression you have of her from the film is that of a calm, dainty, yet resolute and very sensible woman. Her delicate fairness belies a well-rounded woman. And I love her voice.

She reminds me of Laraine Day, in that she could be very feminine, but you always knew she had great good nature underneath the beauty.
