This is a great Christmas movie. It has a fine cast, and is very funny. I like the scene in which Mary is cooking Slumgullion for Mike.

I really like It Happened on 5th Avenue, and it's messages should be remembered all the year through. My favorite part is near the end when everyone celebrates Christmas together, and Aloysius T. McKeever (Victor Moore) says with deepest sincerity "for to be without friends is a serious form of poverty." Chokes me up everytime.
