This movie appears to have the potential to be a real epic, or at least I hope it does. Having said that I'm sure it won't have the same kind of scale as the Russian version of War and Peace - a movie I was very lucky to watch theatrically during the last revival a few years ago.

Didn't Spielberg give a recent interview saying that they were going into production with Kubrick's Napoleon?

Really, I long thought a movie with NAPOLEON in the title would be one based on Kevin Brownlow's book about his search and effort to get all the footage of ABEL GANCE'S epic put together.
