Yes, I was very disappointed in Helena Bonham-Carter's performance as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd. No humor at all.

I saw Angela Lansbury on tv yesterday. The PBS station showed a bio of Broadway composer Jerry Herman. Angela starred in his hit show, Mame, and in his flop, Dear World. She is a lovely lady.

Definitely; and a joyous experience it was! Did you know that McKay is presently working on a sequel -- Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age. Lansbury will be featured in this one too (along with Marni Nixon, Shirley MacLaine, Vanessa Redgrave, Debbie Reynolds, Eva Marie Saint, Hugh Martin, Elaine Stritch and many others that may interest the Oasis denizens). It's scheduled for a 2008 release. Happy new year!
