Re: Amicus Productions rises from the grave ...
Most likely yes. The Hammer and Amicus movies were a product of its time and staff. James and Michael Carreras, Terrence Fisher, Roy Ward Baker, Freddie Francis, and the performers, Lee, Cushing, Shelly, Beswick, Munro, Ripper, Court, etc. Reviving the names Hammer and Amicus is a corporate decision to keep the brand active legally but what their talent and crew brought to the screen is impossible to duplicate.

When I think of Amicus, I think of animals. They produced the film with the most evil cat of all time (in Torture Garden); and the silliest werewolf, played by a big dog (The Beast Must Die).

The Beast Must Die had a great cast, a not so great script.
