An introduction from someone new
Hi there
My name is Stuart, I’m from Scotland. This forum was recommended by a friend of mine from America Miss. Goddess, who as you all ready know has a great knowledge of films.
I love most genres of movies, though not particularly horror. My favourite actors are James Stewart, Charlie Chaplin, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Spencer Tracy, Gary Cooper, Henry Fonda, Clark Gable, Ronald Colman, Errol Flynn, Humphrey Bogart, Gregory Peck and Glen Ford.
Actresses are-Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Barbara Stanwyck, Olivia De Havilland, Maureen O’Hara, Jean Arthur, Natalie Wood, Audrey Hepburn, Lillian Gish, Myrna Loy, Helen Mirren, Vivien Leigh and Greta Garbo.
All-rounder’s-James Cagney, Fred Astaire, Doris Day, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Ginger Rogers, Barbra Striesand, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Julie Andrews.
I also have a love of British movies and I gather others on this forum do as well. Here’s some of my Brit favourites-John Mills, Jean Simmons, Greer Garson, Sean Connery, Angela Lansbury, David Niven, Claude Rains, Virginia McKenna, Judi Dench, Roger Moore, Robert Donat, Claire Bloom and Tommy Steele

Failte, Stuart!
Welcome indeed, to our happy little cinevillage!
Beyond being enamored of Classic Hollywood, and fine, vintage movies from all around the world, you'll find we also have a deep affection & admiration for the films of the British Isles. You might even discover an especially fervent enclave devoted to the works of Michael Powell.
Biased? Me? Why, that's preposterous!
(I always wear a kilt when I'm posting online.)
P.S: Great recruiting, Miss Goddess!

Welcome, Stuart.
You claim to be a friend of MissG's and, yet, there is no mention of John Ford on your list of favorites. Hmmm...do you really know her?
My younger daughter, a college sophomore and Technical Theatre major, will be in your fair land in mid-May for a theatre class led by one of her professors (his last name is Wallace -- go figure why Scotland was chosen) and can talk of little else.
