jdb1,
Miss Henie was married to Dan Topping owner of the Yankees, I believe that he was also the own of the Brooklyn ( football ) Dodgers of the NFL, which he later turned into the NY (football ) Yankees of the All American Fooball Conference, a rival to the NFL that lasted from 1946 - "49.
I liked " Sun Valley Serenade " , in which she co - starred with John Payne. Joan Davis and Milton berle were quite funny in that musical - romantic comedy.

I've always liked her, and even though I'm not a big fan of ice skating, I recognized her great artistry and skill. I think she had a very natural way about her, and her sweetness never seemed forced.ken123 wrote:jdb1,

It does look like he's wearing lipstick , but I have this movie on dvd (Piccadilly Jim) and trust me, it's just the way his lips photographed. They look very conspicuous in all his films, but then I think they're part of what's so adorable about him!MissGoddess wrote:Two incorrigible ducks: Roberts Montgomery and Benchley
