Roger Moore director lost to the big screen

Post by stuart.uk »

One of the downsides to Roger Moore accepting the role of James Bond, was his career as a talented director was over.

Roger directed several top quality episodes of The Saint, and at least one of The Persuaders. He was clearly very talented behind the camera, it's just a pity he wasn't able to do it in films

I was never a big Moore fan but I did like him in The Saint .I was not into him as Bond .I did like Live and Let Die when it came out. Yaphet Koto was good and it was a good first time out for Moore but after that I did not get into him as Bond had no idea Moore was a director .What were some of his works for directing ?

Roger was a member of a union which intitled him to direct. He directed 9 episodes of The Saint and at least one of The Persauders.
