Although not normally a great fan of Doris Day, I do love Calamity Jane (of course H. Keel helps), and that is a cute photo of her. She would have been a great Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, but I don't think she was that big a star yet.

Anne, your right about Doris Day not being up to par yet in playing Annie Oakley although I'll settle for Betty Hutton any day.
