Of course. And my Mother had flaming red hair (it's more of a "white" now, but isn't everyone's?). And my Father's favorite memory before setting sail for the Pacific in WWII? Being at Ciro's with a couple of shipmates and Lucy coming over to their table, buying drinks and talking to them. But I digress....We're all picturing her looking like Lucy, of course...

My mom looked very much like the teenage Shirley Temple when she was a young woman. She hated it, but I don't know why. I think Shirley is a knockout.
Re: *CANDIDS*
My father looked like Chief Thundercloud and when he was on the warpath you had better watch your butt.

Marie got the prime spot in that picture.... and she looks pretty happy about having Coop to lean against. Of course, who wouldn't? You could cut Bankhead and Laughton right out of the picture....

In my eye, Coop's the lucky one. Imagine being between Dressler and Bankhead at a dinner party. What an entertaining evening that would make!JackFavell wrote:Marie got the prime spot in that picture.... and she looks pretty happy about having Coop to lean against. Of course, who wouldn't? I thought it was Lucille Ball. It sure looks like her, even though you say it's Helen Walker. I never heard of her. What did she do? I hate to go over to TCM and have my computer screwed up, plus those Morlock blogs get so lengthy, it takes forever to read one. It would help if the spacing were more like this is, or double spaced. So, just give me what years she was actively acting. If it was the silent years, then that's why - I'm not into silents.
