This is a two-fold request, if any of you folks across the pond (or nearer) can possibly help. I'm looking for the 1992 Lindsay Anderson documentary on John Ford filmed for BBC's "Omnibus" series. I at least want to be able to view it somehow, if I cannot get my own copy. There is a MySpace account that has all but the last part for online viewing, but they do not respond to inquiries regarding the error on the last segment.
If no one has a copy, does anyone know what department I could contact at the BBC? I have searched their main site and nothing comes up. It's a labrynth to negotiate their web site(s). My last resort will be to try to call an office at the BBC and see if a "live" person can help me. I already have been told that the Lindsay Anderson Society doesn't have it available, and that I'd have to get it from the BBC, if at all.
Note: According to the IMDb.com page for the program, A&E Networks had some connection, perhaps they had the American broadcast rights but to my knowledge it was never put on home video. I'd love to be wrong about that.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

Hi, kingme
No, that's not it. Lindsay actually put together the documentary on Ford and narrated it based on his writings for Sequence and his biography on Ford, and it was broadcast in two parts as I understand.
Thank you for trying!

I'm presuming it's about the book Anderson wrote about Ford. Have you tried ebay? Just in case anyone is selling a taped recording. I'm sorry I don't have a copy of the programme, I would suggest you contact the BBC via the website to see if there is anyway you could get a copy of the programme. They do keep all their programmes, maybe they have a service to send out copies of their programmes for a small charge. If so I'd love to know.
There is one person I could ask to see if she's got a copy. I'll try her for you.
Sorry I can't be any further help.

Hi Allison,
Yes, I've searched ebay (including the U.K. site) with no success. Thank you, I probably will have to try to find a way to contact the BBC.

Sorry, I don't have a copy of this documentary. I've never seen it.
But, I checked the Criterion forum. It says that the first part of the Lindsay Anderson documentary is available as a supplement to their edition of Young Mister Lincoln. Just get hold of that one and you'll have already part 1.

Re: BBC "Omnibus" Documentary
Thank you, I'd forgotten that I have part one on my YML DVD...why on earth they did not incluse the whole thing, I don't know. It's mainly for the last part that I am so anxious because I've never seen the end of this documentary.
Thanks again for the reminder.
