Martin & Lewis - Scared Still

Post by ken123 »

Is a remake of the Bob Hope - Paulette Goddard " The Ghost Breakers ", both were directed by George Marshall. The Dean - Jerry version is so much superior to that dreary Hopeless farce. I will not go into the ways that " Stiff " is better, but ANY discerning critic knows that Martin - Lewis has it all over Hope - Goddard.

Before I make anybody mad about Bob Hope, his Ghost Breakers is a zillion times better than the Martin - Lewis.

A bright spot in "Scared Stiff" was Jerry Lewis performing a Carmen Miranda number as she also appeared in the movie. Also good to see Lizabeth Scott romping around the haunted house in just a shirt.
As far as overall quality and humor it's "Ghost Breakers" hands down.
