I have seen those Rondo Hatton scenes before! I'm pretty sure they are from "Hell Harbor" (1930) with the sultry Lupe Velez. A rare film released by KINO on DVD.

Indeed the scenes are from "Hell Harbor", Fernando. Rondo Hatton appeared to be in rugged shape before his disease of acromegaly advanced into the 1940s, when he appeared in those cheap 'creeper' films for Universal. Sad outcome for the gentleman.
