I sure wish Bing Russell had gone on to bigger stuff than just sheriff of Virginia City in Bonanza. I think he was a fine actor, good looking, and easy going as a western character. I would have loved to see him and Kurt working together.

Couldn't agree more, Anne, about Bing Russell. Always a welcome presence in any of the films/TV programs in which he appeared - especially the Western genre where he looked as comfortable atop a saddle as did Ben Johnson.
He and his wife must have been great parents, too, as Kurt grew up to be as decent and unaffected by his celebrity as fellow child actor Ron Howard.
