It's Ramon Novarro prancing around at the studio in the style of the day

Dear Joe,
I had to laugh at your 'prancing around' comment!!! With Ramon's apparent orientation, I had to snicker - although very politically incorrect.
As you know, I knew Ramon very well and he was not an airy fairy prancer. Billy Haines and Jimmy Shields were but not Ramon, he was very discreet....
BTW, that is a vicuna coat he's wearing - - the type Gloria Swanson was buying for William Holden in "Sunset Blvd." - very expensive!!!!
Even I only have a camels hair coat, not a vicuna.... Both are hell to clean and dry out if they get wet - - neither are worth it...

What I don't understand is why anyone would need that sort of coat on a sunny day in California.

Larry, thanks for the lesson on the vicuna coat. I do recall that scene in "Sunset Blvd."
My apologies to Mr. Novarro.
Tinker, since Novarro is near the wardrobe dept., it's possible he was just modeling the coat for publicity.

Hepburn and Gable never made a movie together? Gracious! Sure enough. I wonder what that pairing would've been like?
