Anyone see Carol Ohmart in Born Reckless, with Mamie Van Doren? She's so sultry that she completely overshadows the legendary sexpot Van Doren whenever she's (Ohmart) on screen. :)
The Warner Archive Collection people say they're working on a remaster of this title for an eventual release in the correct widescreen format. TCM showed it not too long ago but in the current open matte version.

Don Haggerty has become a welcome face in the many movies I've seen him in. He also holds the unique distinction of being referred to as "a big banana head" by Miss Monroe in THE ASPHALT JUNGLE.

A litttle trivia about Don Haggerty:
Actor Dan Haggerty ("Grizzly Adams") has the dubious distinction of being the only actor to ever have his name removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce chairman mistakenly spelled "Dan Haggerty" on the plaque when the honor was supposed to have gone to Don. Dan later was honored with his own star.

Reckon that would be a very easy mistake to make, Joe, with only the one vowel to distinguish one name from the other.
Knew it kind of caught me off guard at first - thinking: No, DON Haggerty isn't "Grizzly Adams".
Actually, though, I'm surprised (if pleased) to learn Don Haggerty has a Star on the Walk of Fame.

Nice picture of George, Joe. One I haven't seen. Thanks for posting. Sad to see him with that tar bar, though. His mother suffered with and died from severe asthma and George contracted emphysema during the mid-40s, finally becoming, as his physician said: "A respiratory cripple.", relying on a breathing apparatus.
But I suppose people looked at smoking much differently back in those days.
