*CANDIDS*
Re: *CANDIDS*
Conference on the set of "The McConnell Story": director Gordon Douglas, June Allyson, Alan Ladd and producer Henry Blanke. (Looks like Allyson is in a trance thinking about her crush Ladd).

Re: *CANDIDS*
To me Cary Grant seemed to be the quintessential man in many ways. But I have seen this quote attributed to him: “Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. Even I want to be Cary Grant.” How generous of him to have given us so much when he felt himself to be lacking the very qualities we esteemed in him.

Hi,
Yes, Marjorie is none too happy; in fact she's P-I-S-S-E-D - she doesn't have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.....
I can't believe this; in fact, I also can't believe Connie Gilchrist, Mary Treen and Mary Wickes don't have one either.

Larry, of course you are 100% right about Marjorie Main and those other ladies getting a star.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Earl Holliman's a definite fave with a long list of great movies to his credit. One thing, though, he had a very high mortality rate in most of his pics. In real life, a true survivor.
Eighty-five! Looks early 60s, tops!
Many more happy birthdays, sir
Ditto Dickie Moore!

Stone, I too am a fan of Earl Holliman. I liked him especially in "The Sons of Katie Elder", "The Rainmaker" (he won a Golden Globe), "Last Train from Gun Hill", "Hot Spell", "Broken Lance", etc.

And Joe, I have to add one of my all-time favorite E.H. films: THE BRIDGES AT TOKO-RI.
Nice shot of Dick and the gals.
