.
I agree that is a great color photo of Jack Lemmon and MM but I think my reasoning is different from yours. I love the pic because it is so real. I have always been and always will be a fan of Marilyn. I guess we still don't know for sure if she committed suicide or was murdered by conspiracy factors, but seeing that picture, I can believe it was suicide. Obviously she had not yet had any cosmetic surgery done (her neck shows that), but I do believe she was 36 at the time of her death and in her day, that was just next door to being over the hill, especially for a woman. She could have been afraid to go under the knife after all the other problems she had, and seeing her marvelous beauty being marred by age was probably a real shocker for her. This shot was probably taken at the end of the day because her eye makeup was pretty much smudged, and wiped away, as was her lipstick and she had very little if any, blusher on, and the lines of her neck, and eyes, though not yet blatant, are still visible. I'm really a fan, I feel I have to repeat that because it sounds like I'm picking her apart, but actually I can see her sitting at her highly lit dressing table and seeing those things happening in front of her eyes. This is hard for all women, but someone like her who had been adored for her looks, not her talent, would find it impossible to accept. So on a lonely night with no company and nobody to talk to, I can see her doing harm to herself. I didn't mean to get morbid but I swear all of these things flashed through my mind when I saw that photo, don't ask me why.
So someone else post something happy

Re: *CANDIDS*
I though that MM looked great in her last uncompleted film "Something's Gotta Give" in 1962:
Rita Moreno is amazing!

I enjoy some solitude but that photo of Ava just shouts "lonely" to me. Is it just me?
