Hey Joe, thanks for posting that photograph of . . . you know who (and which also happens to be the cover shot of my book - 
shameless plug). Still have a problem with that 1901 birthdate, however. George himself announced his age as 85 in a 1980 interview shortly before his death, and Lew Yablonsky who knew George well also maintains that 1895 was the year Raft was born. And of course 1895 is the year inscribed on his crypt. The mystery continues . . .

I changed the birth year of Raft, Stone, especially since it appears on his crypt. I usually choose that image because to me it's him, it's George Raft in all his glory.

I agree, Joe. George at his peak . . . which sadly would not last much longer.
Don't know why guys like Raft, Cagney and Bogie were so quick to leave Warners. IMO that's where their best films were made.
