Stone, it reminds that I own most of the Whatever Became of... books in hardcover. I'll have to glance through them again soon. I also have a note from Mr. Lamparski advising what happened to some stars that didn't appear in his books, which I thought was nice.

Wow! What a great looking guy! No wonder Ruth wasn't all that interested in her career... :D

Joe, apparently Lamparski would gather up many of these people featured in his "Whatever Became of . . . " series and they would appear at a book promotion to sign autographs.

Boy, what I would give to have attended one of those shows.

Mongo, I can't believe you found those pictures! What a good looking, unpretentious family. They look really happy and normal.

I can't even begin to thank you enough. I am such a big Ruth Hussey fan! I had read about her but there isn't a lot of information, just that she was not all that interested in promoting her career. Now I know why! She was a lovely, smart, down to earth woman. Reminds me very much of my mom.

Thanks again!

Thanks, Wendy, it was my pleasure. If I'm not mistaken one of Ruth's sons appeared on the boards of TCM to thank everyone of the condolences at the time of his moms death, which I thought was a fine gesture.

Wow, I had no idea. I didn't start on the boards until 2007. That was really nice of him. I wish I could have given him my condolences.

Hi Joe,

Hey buddy, you're allowed the odd mistake - you're still our illustrious leader....
I looked at that photo and didn't notice it was another actress - and actually they looked remarkably similar, didn't they!!!

I actually rely on you every morning to get my brain going - recognizing and cluing into 'the who was who of yesteryear'... A sort of unclogging of my cobwebs!!!

Keep on keeping on...

Larry
