Wonder if I'm the only one who thinks Lon Chaney in candid shots never looks like anybody you've ever seen before?

I know what you mean, Lucky. We are so use to seeing Mr. Chaney as a monster and nothing else. He always reminded me of a lumberjack when out of makeup.

It always amazes me how much older Chaney looked than his calendar years. Ditto his son - at least after about 1945.

God bless Miss Day. Never had the privilege of meeting her but sent her a letter some years back telling her how much I admired her work and she sent me back a wonderful appreciative note along with a beautiful personally-inscribed 8x10 color glossy. I now make it a point whenever I do my nostalgia radio program to always include at least one Doris Day number. My personal favorite and the one I most often play is "Secret Love".
