The Silver Screen Oasis

Kongo is a wild film. I saw it before the Lon Chaney original, which promptly disappointed. I'm not used to that with Chaney.

My vote has to be Freaks, but Kongo isn't far behind. I'd love to see those as a double bill on the big screen. I can dream, huh?

Employees' Entrance springs to mind too, along with pretty much anything else Warren William starred in back in the precode era.

Well, after revisiting several pre-coders, I'd also list Night World (1932) and Search for Beauty (1934) as two more "wild" titles.

I'd also add one that I'd seen long ago but forgotten, Smarty (1934), which has a Design for Living quality about it. Depending upon your perspective, it's also quite politically incorrect.
