These were great, John. I really enjoyed the last one, too. Indian Love Call is one of my favorites. I saw Rose Marie with Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy in the early 70's for the first time, and learned to play Indian Love Call as soon as I could find the music. Wonderful....

Julie Andrews is just so likeable in everything I've seen. Even if Ididn't particularly like the movie, I liked her in it.

Thank you, JM!

I remember reading somewhere that one of the (early) Xmas gifts that president-elect John Kennedy gave his lovely wife Jackie in December of 1960, was to take her to the opening of the meteoric new Broadway musical Camelot.
Can you imagine how fresh & fun & festive & vibrant that night must have felt like, in that theatre?!
Snow falling gently outside, the most inspiring & adored couple in America enthroned in their reserved box, while Julie & Dick Burton & Bob Goulet & Roddy McDowell transformed the stage into a land of shimmering, bittersweet magic, romance & heroic adventure, all set to the music of Lerner & Lowe.
Could we ever be that young again?!!
Well, Rick & Ilsa will always have Paris, and after a fashion, we can always "remember" this!

Hi Johnm:

I've kept away from this thread because the memories of the old one are still awfully sad,
but something made me come on today, and I'm so glad. The photos are still so great.
For some reason, I can't play the songs, I don't know why, but I'll continue to try.
I could really kick myself for not recording the Camelot on audio tape back in the day.
Sometime I'll get a CD of it.

So glad to see you here, and so glad to see JA join us.
