I think you have time (it is offered at Amazon right now for $5.99). It's aslo part of the John Wayne/John Ford
box set that is being re-packaged (I have the original one) so likely copies will be around for a while. After that,
who knows? I wonder if rights revert to the Eugene O'Neill estate?

I wonder.

I just went on Amazon and went ballistic ordering movies. I haven't sent in my order, because I got really carried away. When I entered Long Voyage Home, Amazon gave me a rate for 3 Ford movies - 5 dollars each and some change. So I added 3 Godfathers (I already have a recorded version), and The Wings of Eagles. Then I saw the Collectors Edition of The Quiet Man (which I also already have recorded to disc), and plunked that onto my list, along with Donovan's Reef. Hatari came up on that page in a deal with Red River, and I thought, Oh I should get that for Howard Hawks class! Now I am up to fifty dollars, and am trying to decide whether to try and open a second Amazon credit card to get 30 bucks off of my order. Usually at about this point I decide that I spent too much and I quit the entire thing, never getting the movie I went on Amazon to get in the first place.

This is why I never order movies.

Oh my goodness, you have the same exact pattern I do! I ALWAYS load up my "cart" and then just leave the
window open all day to see if a cooler head prevails. I either end up taking several things out or cancelling.

Whatever you get, I would say NO to the extra credit card. You'll end up paying more in interest, etc....
(though every time I see that offer I get SO tempted...)

I wasn't sure I could even get another Amazon card, since I already took them up on the deal a couple of years ago! I was probably ordering movies....

I think I just have to bite the bullet and take some stuff out of my cart, maybe just picking up movies I don't already have.

I hate making decisions.

Well, I don't want to make it even harder for you to make a decision, but if I have
more than a couple of dvds I'm planning to get, and can wait long enough, I try to
get them at deepdiscount.com when they have their semi-annual 20-25% off sale.
They don't charge sales tax OR shippnig, which means it is really hard to beat
the savings. Their next sale is around the 3rd week of November, I believe.

It's a long time, but then again, it's a big savings.

Here's the page with The Long Voyage Home (which as you can see is a couple
of dollars more, but during the sale and with no tax or shipping, it
will be less than 5.99)

Thanks! I think I will wait....

I just went back to the tab I left open - Amazon dumped my cart while I was off being indecisive. HA!

Amazon uk never does that, my cart stays loaded up for ages. Do you have the option to save until later? My save until laters spread over 4 pages

I have a wish list I can add things to. You can move things back and forth between the cart and the list. There is a "save for later" as well. Mine is only two pages, but all of it is gardening books and movies, and I haven't updated it for a long time.

I have saved my cart at other sites for a whole month, and you can log off and back on and it is still there. This time I was still logged on to the site and it dumped my cart! I take it as a sign from God - don't buy movies today. :)

I think it is wise, that's how I would view it. Still you'd think that Amazon might be shooting themselves in the foot there.

Surfing on Amazon is one of my favorite and can be one of my most costly habits

All right, you two, calm down or you're going to bed right now, and you won't get to finish watching Bewitched!

The Wagon Master is here and he looks....

And you could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the DVD includes
a commentary by not only Harry, jr. and Peter Bogdanovich, but Peter includes
audio interview "commentary" by old Papps himself. It was GREAT. Yes, I've
already watched it. This is the kind of DVD presentation this beautiful little western
deserves and oh, how pretty it looks, even better than the TCM print.

WELL WORTH adding to any collection.
